The Lion’s Cat, by Reira Richie, is the second book in the series- Werecats of America. It revolves around the love story of lion feline Xavier Lyon and cats feline Alexa Reeds. The story begins from their strange meeting and follows five years later when they train together. The books display their gradual falling in love and incidents that make their bond stronger. This book gives deep about the features, powers, history, and existence of strange creatures.

The story is majorly from the first-person perspective of Alexa Reeds but changes to Xavier Lyon during a vital incident. I loved the characters and the plot of the story. The couple works together for the safety of werecats. They are wise, fit, and brave. The characters display friendship, love, and support.

The mystery kept me holding onto the book. The twist that takes place by the end of the book was one that I never imagined. One of the things that I loved about the book was that it brings up other romance books and movies, which made me more connected to the story. The book is evocative, making me feel the scenes and adventure taking place through the author’s eyes. The author’s use of references and history is a plus point.

Another thing that I liked about the story was the frequent use of humor to convey significant ideas. There were many instances when I could not stop laughing. Romance mixed with humor is the basis of the story, and me being already a fan of it, cannot deny saying that this book gained all my attention.

I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. The book seemed professionally edited with no mistakes. I was looking hard for an element that would disrupt my interest in the book but in vain. Every plot, every twist that takes place in the story makes it more fascinating. The book contains exotic romance and may not be suited for younger children.

This werecat romance skillfully engrosses the readers of romantic comedy enigma. If you are a fan of the twilight series, this book is for you.
