A
murder on the high seas. A detective duo. A demon who may or may not exist. Is
the Devil real? Or is the devil just a face for the evils of man?
OH
MY! I was so excited to read this book, especially with an amazing group of
people and I would have to say the discussion we had throughout this book had
questions laced through most of our thoughts when it came to what was being
offered by this insane story.
Once again Turton
brought an amazing atmospheric tell, and once again he gave a murder mystery in
a contain environment with so many suspects, that at times was hard to follow
but came together in a very well thought out mystery.
I second guessed many of my assumptions and while I could figure out small pieces of the story, I couldn’t put it all together till the end. Sadly, the ending made this a four star for me. It wasn’t trying to be anything and all the pieces were so plain for you to see if you knew where to look, but it was again the weakest point in the book. Looking back, I see where I was tricked and it was genius but it was still lacking. Overall, I truly enjoyed the book and can’t wait for his next book.
