VIOLETS
- Suyasha Dwivedi
She seemed bewitched
By uncanny ribbons of scent,
That gaoled her
In their feminine fog,
Lead her to show her,
The field of ‘violets’.
As she opened her eyes
The ribbons disguised as clouds
Ashamed of arousing her.
But she was there,
Smelling the sacred aroma,
Chaste as it was for the ‘Virgin’.
She wasn’t afraid,
Touching the ephemeral pleasures,
Nor guilty, livin’ the fallibility.
Sun shone with warmth
Upon her brown locs and wheat skin
As she lay on the matted ground
Squinting. Breathing in, the last
Atom of violet’s scent.
And smirked upon the
Lucid dream.

FROM THE POET'S DESK-
Working on
removing the barriers of conditioning that surround me in the process of
forming my real identity, I’m just a seeker and explorer who’s expanding its
horizons with each breath. The conditioning and restrictions that have always
surrounded befriended me to writing and expressing my thoughts, emotions,
elations, and woes through words, I accept the inheritance of Eve’s fallibility
and abolish the choice of being a framework of rectitude.
